| Created and performed by Mélissa Smith and Brittany Parker DIG UP! A Dinosaur Expedition is the third STEMmersive show, premiering with a Maine tour in May 2026 to Portland Ovations and the Rockport Opera House (co-presented by the Strand Theatre). Upon arriving at the show, participants learn about paleontology and geology through a series of interactive activity stations — including fossil etching, dinosaur skeleton building, rock/gem matching, and more. Then they embark on an imaginative expedition in the cave rover (our 25-foot inflatable dome) where a fossil dig goes awry as the rover accidentally catapults back in time to the age of the dinosaurs! This interactive performance includes 360-degree projections, original music, and puppetry — while also highlighting real-life women scientists and promoting earth conservation. DIG UP! is an experience recommended for ages 4-10 and their adults. The entire experience including pre/post show activities lasts about 1 hour with the performance in the dome being approximately 30 minutes. See Tech Rider here. |
